Platanias is located at the unexplored southern end of Pelion, opposite Skiathos and Evia with very beautiful and deep beaches, but also with green nature that is suitable both for summer for sea tourism and in autumn, winter and spring for nature and hiking tourism with beautiful paths and routes that amaze by combining the mountain and the sea, in a nature fortunately still unspoiled.
We have 14 rooms – studios double, triple and quadruple. For large groups we cooperate with a neighbouring Hotel and together we have 30 modern rooms-studios double, triple etc. with heating and we offer breakfast and lunch.
We suggest a four-day indicative program that will be unforgettable because South Pelion is still undiscovered!
A journey to the undiscovered Pelion
Day 1:
Arrival in the afternoon in Platanias and installation in the rooms. If the arrival is relatively early we take a reconnaissance walk to get to know the village.
In the evening dinner with traditional food of the region and if you want there is music and dancing.
Day 2:
Breakfast (8-9am) which includes, among the other usual dishes, peasant pies with eggs and cheese or bantzina with pumpkins for pizza etc.
Then: if you want you depart (11am) for the village of Trikeri35 km, the southernmost tip of South Pelion and then descend to Agia Kyriaki, a typical fishing village with lots of seafood and traditional cuisine, for lunch or
if you want for closer go to the villages Argalasti 17 km. or Lavkos 10 km. for a tour and coffee in their beautiful Pelion squares, as well as in the Famine Museum of marble sculptures.
In the evening we have dinner at our hotel.
Day 3:
Breakfast (8-9am)
Departure for Milies of central Pelion, with its beautiful squares where we will enjoy our coffee, the traditional cobbled streets, the library & museum and the amazing central church of St. Archangels with the wonderful hagiographies and a tour of central Pelion.
Day 4:
Breakfast (8-9am), room delivery and departure.
If the Pelion train is operating (tel. & information for Volos OSE tickets 2421024056), we suggest you take it and from there take the train to Lechonia of Volos, where your bus will be waiting for you to continue your return.
The price is based on the size of the group, type of room and food.
